Everyone's desire or need for freedom and autonomy is emphasized in the Declaration of Independence. The first is that God created all of us equally, which is essential being that we should be reminded that God views each of us as unique and equal. We were all born aware of the fact that we were not designed to be perfect, but rather that we were created to be a perfect fit for our own journeys, destinies, and individual  purposes we are here to serve in life. We are neither above or beneath anyone. The second important idea is that everyone has the inalienable rights to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness, and that the primary role of the government is to uphold and protect these rights.
