1. Home is one of the places that I can retreat to to feel comfortable and recharge. I count home as my apartment, my parents house, and anywhere my studio is set up.

2. I keep my classroom clean, but my room is a mess. At home I am always working on something (Competitive model painting, game miniature painting, ceramics, paintings for friends) so it is constantly messy. I get anxiety from the thought of people thinking I live like a slob. I have already cleaned my room three times since we started out of fear that I would have to go get my parents laptop to meet the video requirement. Pendly was kind enough to work with me on not having a functioning video feature.

Another aspect of home is that I can be myself and not have to worry about putting on any kind of airs to impress people, especially on a daily basis.

Home is a place where I feel most relaxed and comfortable. The people and things I cherish most are housed there and I am free to be myself.

While I generally keep a tidy house, it is often uncomfortable keeping my camera on during meetings. I worry about what others may notice about my home/cleanliness, what's happening in the background, and what I look like staring blankly at a screen.

Home is my safe space. It's where my family is, my comfort zone, my place to be me - unashamedly.

I had to find a corner that I wouldn't mind others seeing... a bookshelf that is usually cluttered that I have made a point to clean because it's going to be visible to others. There are some places in my house I wouldn't mind sitting, but I do consider what's visible and either clean that small area or just avoid it altogether! When my family is home, it's more stressful to think they might run across camera or be loud and distracting to me other others who can see them.
