Hitler created a new generation of his ideal citizens. These young men were fierce, strong, loyal, and extremely devoted to Hitler and his leadership. Hitler used indoctrination as a tactic to "brainwash" these children in order to follow his rules and lifestyle. Children were required to shout "Heil Hitler!" about 100 times each day and greet each other with the Hitler greeting. Young boys belonged to the Hitler Youth and young girls belonged to the League of German Girls. This gave kids a sense of

Germany began to experience drawbacks and negative effects from the Treaty of Versailles and the Weimar Republic. Such negative effects included a ginormous debt from World War I. Inflation hit and currency began to lose value. After experiencing these downfalls, the Germans desired a change and a new leader/method of leadership. This is how the Nazi party went from 12 votes in 1928 to 230 votes in 1932. Below is a swastika, which was the symbol of the Nazi Party.

Hitler manipulated his way to leadership by first becoming the chancellor. He attempted a leadership position for years before Paul von Hindenburg gave into appointing him as chancellor. Hitler began to make bold, powerful moves in his new position, which included arresting and intimidating members of the Communist Party. He had a secret police to silence his opposers which allowed him to always get his way. Hitler gained even more support after blaming the Communists for setting the Reichstag building on fire. Hindenburg was able to take all the power away from Hitler, but he never did. So once Hindenburg died, Hitler named himself dictator and completely dominated Germany.

Indoctrination is the process of teaching a person or group to accept a set of beliefs uncritically. Or in other words, it often refers to religion and does not allow you to question or criticize those beliefs. One example of indoctrination is "Heil Hitler" or the Nazi salute. Children experienced it in kindergarten, at home – everywhere. They grew up believing that Hitler was a super-god, and Germany an anointed nation. The citizens were taught our German superiority in everything. Country, race, science, art, music, history, literature.

Students from the Berlin
School of Physical Education demolished the Institute of
Sexual Science, one of the first scholarly groups to study
homosexuality. This was the beginning of limiting access to information.

They were outfitted in brown uniforms after the fashion of Benito Mussolini’s Fascist Black Shirts in Italy. During the early days of the Nazi regime, the SA carried out unchecked street violence against Jews and Nazi opponents.

Hitler's reign over Germany is not the only one of its kind. For example, Benito Mussolini and the Fascist party rose to power in Italy. Mussolini took power with promise of order, nationalist behaviors, and the return of past glory of the Roman Empire. But there were underlying consequences that were not focused on while he came into power. He changed Italy by installing fear in the citizens and using censorship to stay supreme leader. Mussolini formed combat squads of loyal fascists called Black shirts. Hitler did almost the exact same thing but they were called Brown shirts. He had control of water and food supply and had rigged elections which didn't accept any other candidate to win. This is extremely similar to Hitler's tactics to keep him in absolute power.
