On this day, we had started by thinking of the Theme we would like our final project to be. We discussed this by picking themes of the bored and then pairing up and trying to think of a theme in pairs. once we did that we told the rest of the team our ideas and then discussed our favourite ideas. once we had done that as a team we liked the idea of a "Grimm's Fairy Tails". with the name being "Once Upon a Time" but after a team discussion we decided on the theme "A Land Far Far Away" as this would allow for a more open set of ideas for the full team. Then in pairs we created a timeline for the weeks ahead by using the project Brief.Once we had created them we had another group discussion and created a group timeline setting goals we would like to have completed. However we still need to crate our own timeline to be able to manage our own work.

Moving forward with my final project, i will be aiming to showcase all

my skills and my knowledge I have

acquired over my time being on this

course from September.

The way I will show of this will be:

having a digital portfolio (Padlet) which will consist of documenting my research, my development over the 9 weeks, testing different designs and my progress that i will have made during the 9 weeks. I will also have a sketchbook

containing initial ideas plus

Designs, experiments, sampling, face charts and reflections after trilling things throughout the 9 weeks . Once us as a team have selected a theme, I will begin planning a group timeline with my class featuring

key tasks and dates and then I will work on creating my individual timeline focusing on my independent work towards this project. For my independent tasks I will start by doing some research on our chosen concept (A Land Far Far Away) to help me come up with some initial ideas, before moving onto some influential makeup artist research which will help me further develop my ideas and go over some techniques that I would like to use in my makeup look. From this point I can start working on a mood board,

collecting images any other skills I would like to experiment with for my look. I will also attending group meetings for feedback and sharing my ideas to help improve my final look I will also help other people form the team. I will also be attending a Harvard referencing session so I can use this method to help improve my research.

Today we had a session going over Harvard referencing and how to correctly reference information in your work. during this we learnt that it contains the authors name and the year it was published. This session was useful because wider reading whilst working on my project this will benefit me whilst i use wider reading which will help me gain new knowledge and it can also help with research so being able to insert this information from books, websites or journals correctly shows i can provide evidence from the text that I'm using and also am giving credit to the original source. This can also be used to back up your points and show that you have correctly researched something.

This video inspired me with doing the glass in the arms of my character. This helped me think of doing the glass with 3rd degree gel (as its long a more long lasting product) and plastic that I have broken up.

This moodbored shows my initial ideas that I have thought off for my 'space princess' makeup look. My initial ideas are that the character 'space princess' has crashed in her spaceship and has ended up with broken glass into her body. I also had the idea to add body painting possibly with a galaxy theme.

For this I used the Athena pallet.

I started by using the colors, blue, purple and a pink colour to try and creat an ombre to look a bit like a galaxy. I had then set that with the RMCA translucent powder befor going in with the white from the Athena pallet to creat the stars.

overall I was happy with how the ombre looked but I belive I could improve this with more practice

Today we had s group discussion we spoke about our ideas for our finial look. During this i was given some feedback and some new ideas. Amelia had given me the idea for my body painting maybe I could do it on the joints of the arms to make it look like space is almost breaking though my characters skin.

This inspired me to start looking into cracks in the skin to take inspiration to do this for my makeup look

As a group we had also discussed what needed to be completed at teamwork tasks for this project. Me, Neve and Amelia had decided we were going to be in charge of the health and safety for our project day. For this we discussed what we wanted to make for the day to be as safe as possible. like model care cards, health and safety posters for the models needs and the MUAs needs.

This was my first attempt at using 3rd degree gel to create my glass for the arms. I feel like this was effective for the look I was creating as it looked realistic.

Next time I attempt this I would like to make it less thicker as this takes away from the realistic look that I am attempting to create for my makeup look

For this I used 3rd degree gel.

I started by snapping some plastic lids to creat the shape of glass j wanted to create i then mixed all 3 off the products to creat the gell like consistency. I then began applying the gel to the skin with my spatula. once i got a similar shape to what I wanted to create I had placed the 'glass' into the gell and allowed this to fully dry before adding some of the purple out of the bruise wheel and then adding a thick blood.

Neve had offered to give me and some others from the team a tutorial on some different braids as I knew I would like to include braids into my finial look. This helped me with deciding on my hair look for my finial project.

For my second attempt I wanted it to be thinner to look a bit more realistic but when I did this attempt it was thinner but it was more spread out insted off it being a thinner layer fully. for my next attemt I want it to be thinner but not as spead out across the arm.

I used the plastic lids that i had snaped for my first attemt to create the shape of glass i then mixed all 3 off the products to creat the gell like consistency. I then began applying the gel to the skin with my spatula. once i got a similar shape to what I wanted to create I had placed the 'glass' into the gell and allowed this to fully dry before adding some of the purple out of the bruise wheel and then adding a thick blood

for this i used:

• latex

• blood

• wooden bored

• plastic (glass)

• tissues

• cotton bud

I started by soaking the first layer of tissue in latex and doing this multiple times before I added my plastic to replicate the glass. I had the begun to build up the tissue and latex around the plastic to make it look like the 'glass' was coming out the arm. once the shape was how I wanted it to be around the plastic i allowed it to fully dry before adding foundation to it and then adding blood around the edges of the plastic

once i had completed it I decided that the 3rd degree gel would work better of my look at it would be more long lasting and I was more confidant in being able to mould the 3rd degree gel on the day of the finial project in the shape I wanted it to be.

I am inspired by the makeup artist Donniella Davy.

She inspired me with my finial look because she does different and bold makeup looks but then a simple base (most of the time). this is they type of look I wanted to do for my final look. she inspired me because she showes that you can do a more crazy eye look. Davy also inspires me because she owns her own makeup business which I might want to go into once I have furnished the college corse. Davys brand is called Half Magic. whitch when looking into the products all brought me some inspiration when designing my eyeshadow look.

Davy inspired me bc it made me go out of my comfort zone alot more when thinking of looks for my finial makeup. With the different eyeshadow colors and the star sequins.

Next time I trial this I would like to attempt it with water activated paint (blue) and then attempt the glitter shadow over the top. I would also like to trial the mattalic oil pigments to see how that would look and if it would be effective towards my makup look.

with this i liked the shape I had created using the eyeshadow I wanted to deepen the colors the next time I did this look and I also feel like they needed to be more starts across the eyelid to elevate the look and add more depth to my finial look.

For this i used the same colures but changed the shape of the eyeshadow. for this though I added stars all over they eyelid which elevated the makeup look i was looking to create. Again I would like to deepen the colours and also keep the shape of the other eyeshadow look I had created previously

next time i try this look i would like to add more purple and blue. as i feel like the purple and blue suit my makeup look more.

first of all i started by adding the pink into the inner conner of the eye once i created the shape i wated at the corner of the eye i then added more to create the impact of the colour that i wanted. i then added the purple again creating the shaper and then building up the colour and then again with the blue. i then got clean brush and blended all the colours together. i then used eyelash glue and chose the colour of stares i would like to use and apply then to the eyelid.

I chose these colours for my eyeshadow as they all go together. This is shown in the colour wheel as there are all together. the colours I used for this look are mass tones as I didn't mix any other colors in with the eyeshadows.

The colours I used are Analogous this is all the colours that are next to each other on the colour wheel.

i decided i didn't want to do the cracks or any body painting as i was really not enjoying doing this and i was still unsure and not happy even after multiple attempts at the body painting. i also knew i would not be confident doing body painting on the day of the competition day

i believe this elevates my look at it bakes the dress more personal to my look.

Once I finished curling the hair I had let the curls cool and set before I begun braiding the hair.

I then sectioned the hair and started at the to off the hair and braided to the end of the crown of thee hair and tiyed it back. I then did the make on the right side. once the plats where affective for my makeup look. I had backed combed the start of the pony Tails before twisting them into space buns and securing then with boby pins.

Once I was happy with the plaits I had added the star clips where I planned them to be.

once the hair was done I did one last spray of hairspray and lightly brushed the curls

I believe that the hair I did was effective towards my Final makeup look as tied in well with my full look.

I then focused on the base. starting with foundation and all of my cream products. (bronzer and blush). once I was happy with my base I set it with powder. I then went over with all my powder products ( blush and bronzer highlighter) i then used a pink lipliner and filled in my models lips.

My makeup look was affective as it really brought all my creativity of the look from the past 9 weeks.
