We have been hard at work transferring this knowledge to the glockenspiels, and will continue with recorders in the fourth grade.          <description><![CDATA[<div>Since the beginning of the school year - both remotely and in person, kindergartners have been focusing on keeping a steady beat (the foundation of all musical learning) and defining long and short sound patterns (rhythms).&nbsp; They have played musical singing and movement games, worked to discover their singing voices, and played a variety of non-pitched instruments. &nbsp; Watch how well our littlest students are doing reading and playing rhythm patterns to the Japanese children's song - "Ame Ame." &nbsp;</div>]]></description>

We all wish we had a few more weeks of school to put the finishing touches on "Dance Monkey," but we think you will enjoy this piece as much as we did!  </div>]]></description>

We learned a LOT - how to define harmony, play a string instrument with appropriate technique, read chord charts independently and to apply all this new knowledge to learn a variety of songs.  I hope our students keep expanding on these new skills!  </div>]]></description>
