-Personal Goal: I hope to become a better person through the knowledge I gain in this program, full of attributes I can share with my family and the generations to come.

-Professional Goal: I want to help people find hope. The NIV Bible states in 1 Corinthians 13:13, "And now these three remain: faith, hope, and love. But the greatest of these is love." I agree, but when you don't feel loved or you can't silence the noise long enough to focus on your faith, hope keeps you going. Hope gets you to tomorrow. I want my clients to know that.

-What would you like to get out of this course? I would like to have a good set of resources to use and a list of referrals in the case of a crisis or traumatic event.

Confidentiality & Privacy of client's personally identifiable information and records.

Mandatory reporting of suspected child abuse, elder abuse, or threats of harm.

Scope of practice - avoid services beyond your training and provide referrals where needed.

Informed consent must be obtained before providing services.

Avoid conflicts and dual relationships.

Continuing education for each renewal period: 24 hours must include 6 hours in ethics and 3 hours in cultural diversity or competency.
