Some lines are smooth and powerful, which show the movement of the waves and where the waves are crashing. On the other hand, there are also very sharp and distinct lines. We wonder about why the artist made those choices.

We wonder why the sky has significantly less distinct lines (arguably no lines). The lines of the Earth and the ocean are so much more visible and easy to grasp and understand. What could the author be trying to say about the sky?
