These stories are similar because they both have to do with marriage where the man says who he is gonna marry and does not ask the woman what she wants.

- water was provided for sheep and camels (animals) in both stories
- The women that Jacob first married was like a betrayal because it was not Rachel. And Jacob was forced to work another 7 years to be able to marry Rachel, making him a victim when before he was the one executing the betrayal
