Good teachers genuinely care about the overall well-being of their students. A teacher spends 6-7 hours a day 5 days a week with the students. The teacher is the first to realize a student may be struggling emotionally, physically, or mentally. It's important to form a relationship with your students and to be relatable so they feel comfortable reaching out to you. A good relationship between a teacher and her students aids with higher achievements in class, a feeling of feeling safe and secure, an open line of communication, and students tend to listen to someone they respect.
