The first industrial revolution

During the first English rfevolutin one of the reasons they thrived was the amount of inventions being produced. for example the Water Frame created in 1769 allowed factories to be powered by water. In turn england started thriving due to the amount of water they have. They also had all of the resources they needed. Cotton from America, steel from mines, coal from mines, and more. The textile market was already popular and England was able to expand this market due to the insane production.

Americans and Europeans were trying to expand there economy. Japan and china were at interest but neither of them wanted to trade. china went to war with America and sufferd a humiliating defeat which resulted in there ports forced open. while on the other hand Japan opend one port for Americans. From then on they liked the business and continued to open more and more of there country to america.

The cost

Although factories are great they were constantly being ran. unlike today we have labor laws, back then there was no stop. They would work people for 12-14 hour days 6 days a week. This schedule left the men with almost no free time. Unless you were married you lived at like a tenant building the factory owns. you did not have a social life outside of work. even the kids were working these grueling shifts leaving them with little to no social life.

With the discovery of diamonds in 1867 all European countries wanted a piece. They raced over there and went to war over these territories in africa. At the Berlin conference EUropeans divided the land into 14 ways. No African ruler attended. Meanwhile on the down low england started heading to india, and overseeing the trade there.

With imperialism comes a lot of bull crap. A lot of documents I analyzed made white men look very good and african men look terrible. And back then the africans were not arguing with these statements, they probably didn't even know. And so a majority of the white people probably genuinely thought the Africans were savage. realistically we were “converting” these people weather they liked it or not and they fought back, but since we have very ideological motives, they are immediately wrong because “we are helping them”

Spread christianity.

We often see when Europeans move to America and convert the natives there in those foul schools. Or for instance in Document D(only name given)it shows a white women teaching people of color christianity. It's not exactly being forced in the image but I hope you get the point. They were very ideological for a while so they thought christianity was better.
