Alas, Ned lived in a corrupt colony, a colony policed by dirty coppers and unscrupulous politicians. His intolerance of the oppression of his working-class Irish family, combined with his strong sense of social justice, sent him down a rebellious path from which it became increasingly impossible to return. There is no question that Ned Kelly ended his life as a criminal, who had committed villainous acts. The question is: could we have prevented it?

Ned Kelly is hero because he helps the poor to survive and stand up against the corrupt government and police. I know he has killed people but that was to save his own life and in the 1800 who has not killed someone? He is also a hero because he had the courage to get in a river and save a boy from drowning and certain death. It was not his fault because he was brought up in a family of outlaws so he was seen as one to so he only had one option that was to become what everyone already thought he was, a bush ranger, he is a hero in my books.

On the flip side,  the infamous bushranger shot 3 policeman and robbed many gold carts and banks.

In the end, we see that Ned has killed people , but only in selfdefense, he stole from people, except the poor, he took hostages, and treated them very well. So, as you can see here, Ned Kelly has done many bad things but they are out-weighed by all the good things he has done.

Ned Kelly did reward the ones who helped him, and hurted the people that mistreated and interfered with his family. It wasn’t his fault that he was born in a bushranger and convict family, or was treated horribly by the police. If anything, the police brought it upon them selves, as anyone would want revenge. He was practically forced to go bushranger, and he had the courage to do so, the courage to stand up to the police, to go bushranger, go wild, and to shoot a police, it’s not that much courage you see in everyday people.

I believe well I believe that Ned Kelly was like a villain and hero as he performed criminal behaviours for noble and righteous reasons.

For example, at Stringybark Creek he only shot and killed of the Kennedy to help protect his gang. He also lead the less wealthy Victorians against the government and just rules favouring the rich. 

Ned Kelly commonly took from the government for the reason of events and his mother’s unjust imprisonment.

Ned Kelly generally did many villainous deeds for heroic purposes. Firstly, I vehemently believe that Kelly was unjustly treated by the police, due to gross amounts of bias against the poorest people of Australia. I also believe that he was a brave man and did what was right for his family. He also only killed in self defence, contrary to other cruel bushrangers like "Mad Dog Morgan". He stood up against the unfair treatment of him and his family by the police, a bold man.

Secondly, I believe that Kelly only killed in self defence. For example, at Stringybark Creek where he killed a man - this was only because the policeman refused to surrender and also that the policeman had shot first and Kelly had only killed him in self defence. Kelly may have committed various nefarious crimes but that doesn't make him any less of a hero.

He wants to give to the poor however too many innocent people were robbed in one rob, specifically the bank robberies. Sure he burnt their taxes but what about the poor's accounts. So many tragically became poor. He wants to help the poor. How about he rethinks his strategies before attempting his plans. The rich turning into poor people who do not have enough money anymore. 

He having no information from great sources yet he goes ahead and blames the British Queen. He blames the queen for not helping out the poor but where is the proof. It would take way too long to bring money to Australian towns from Britain. He never had a right to go ahead and blame the queen.

I understand where people might think Ned as a hero however with all the major flaws in his plans and lifestyle and him blaming people randomly, his is definitely a villain.
