- Steve: He came every Tuesday to teach the class about all of the entrepreneurial mindsets and how they are applicable to the real world, too. One of the activities that I remember is the survival activity, where groups had to make very careful decisions as to what to bring, who to bring, and what to do in order to survive. It is not about the goal, but it is about how to get there that matters.
- Lisa O'Keefe: She was my mentor throughout the formation of my business plan. Before asking me anything regarding my business plan she would ask me two things: "How are you doing?" and, "Is there anything you need to ask me?" She always motivated me to do the best in everything I did. Here is what I learned:
RESEARCH BEFOREHAND
Prior to going on the interview, it is important that you have done research on the company, because this will show that you are serious about the job. Also, this gives you the opportunity to ask questions about things that you are unsure of. 
CHANGES TO RESUME
If you were just elected officer of any club, earned a special award, finished a volunteering program, it is important to add it in the resume before it gets to your potential employer, because this shows that you are involved, and this is essentially what potential employers are looking for. If your GPA is not higher than a 3.0, it is not recommended to include it in the resume. 
DRESSING APPROPRIATELY 
It is very important to look very presentable on the day of the interview, because that also shows your level of seriousness toward the job. You should dress up professionally, and make sure that your clothes are comfortable, because after all, you will be the ones wearing them.
ELEVATOR PITCH
In the interview, it is all about you. Thus, you have to make sure that you say all the things that you want your interviewer to hear about, but you also have to be cognizant that you do not have all day to do this. With this, you may practice your elevator pitch, which is basically a mini speech about yourself, highlighting why you should be employed, instead of your competition.

This was honestly a very fun experience! I got a chance to meet several of the Holy Trinity donors and even tried to sell them raffle tickets! Albeit it was a little intimidating at first, because some people look very serious, it became fairly easy to fit in. This was one of my favorite things about NFTE, because my NFTE mentor, Lisa O'Keefe, went there to have a conversation with my about how things were going and even to buy a raffle ticket. It is also exciting to know that juniors who attend this event with NFTE are also eligible to going the following year, but only some students get this privilege. ]]> 2017-06-01 10:28:15 UTC https://padlet.com/amedina_2018/a3hadodfhdnn/wish/174783112 amedina_2018 https://padlet.com/amedina_2018/a3hadodfhdnn/wish/174784409 - The first fun fact is actually regarding Guardians of Hope.
