I believe this was always confusing because I was often told and read that an irrational number cannot be written as a fraction; however, sqrt(3)/2 can still be a nonterminating nonrepeating number<br>3. I feel my misunderstanding can be clarified by being exposed to and exploring more examples of irrational numbers.</div>]]></description>

I found it difficult to help the students because it was something I didn't fully understand myself. I must have just gotten by when I took Algebra 1, because it wasn't even something that came back to me as we were teaching it. </div>]]></description>
