<title>1.	In what ways was the importance of relationships highlighted in this videoIn relationships with children, it is important during their behaviors that we are as teachers in tune with children and give them the respect that they are entitled to. Some behaviors that children do are because of cause and effect. This helps with the children’s problem solving and helps them to think of their solutions. The outside environment helps with the way that they learn. Children make connections through people, places, and culture. 2. What questions would you have for an infant-toddler educator in Reggio Emilia? Why? My questions would vary. Questions that I would have for an infant-toddler educator in Reggio Emilia is how difficult is it to let children lead their own curriculum when fundamentals of learning such as letters and numbers are important for them to discover? The reason for this is that when children learn the foundation of numbers and letters, they are then able to build upon their learning foundations. Another question would be how would I as a future teacher engage the children, I work with to use their higher reasoning and ask or tell me what the results from their investigations bring? How am I able to create ways that children will not be bored or limited with the activities that they are engaged in? How do I take on the role of not being an instructor? How does watching the body language of children tell me as the teacher what they are feeling? How do family relationships or culture shape the interests of the children in what they may want to do as far as their curriculum is created? All of these questions are important to help me develop as a teacher that just doesn’t fill children up with knowledge by instructing them but provides a way to plant seeds within the children for them to explore and use their higher reasoning. 2. What does the classroom look like in a Reggio Emilia school? The classroom in the Reggio Emilia school looks like an art gallery. There is decorative artwork that is presented and displayed by the children. It then seems as if it is a museum. Also, the children are able to have the outside area as a part of their classroom. The inside and outside environments are both equally important in the discovering, exploring, and learning of children. 3.	Write/Add 15 things that you have learned:1. Children must have some control over what they learn.2.Children should learn through hands-on touching and moving in their environment. They should experience things outside and inside.3.Children have relationships with others and materials and should be able to explore. Children should have at least one hour of uninterrupted play.4.Children should have endless ways to express themselves.5.Being available for a child is being involved with the child. It is being at the same level or interacting with the child in the way that they are involving themselves with each other.6.Speak calmly when dealing with children. As adults, we shouldn’t tell children don’t do something but rather use gentle words and explain to the children that I would prefer if you wouldn’t do this because of a certain outcome. This way it will help the child discover ways of possible self-restraint/control and just an overall way of being respectful to the child.7.Children should be challenged and whatever they are doing the teacher should ask questions that encourage the child to engage. 8. The curriculum development environment should be relaxed and mindful.9.Having conversations allow children to explore their language development especially when in peer-group settings.10.Eye contact and body language are important for children to feel comfortable and build trusting relationships.11.Acknowledge the children’s words or vocabulary that they use but don’t say a good job but communicate in ways that make the child feel encouraged to keep talking or engaging in conversation.12.In the Reggio Emilia approach, the teacher is a co-learner and collaborator. This is important as the children may want to keep actively engaging with the activities that are being done.13.Creating projects with children helps teachers to value their thinking and interests.14.Children must have endless ways and opportunities to express themselves.15.Children have 100 or more ways of learning.</title>
