They often played sets as long as 6 hours with only a 15 minute break every hour. In addition to their own music, they learned many covers to fill the time they were playing. During their stay in Hamburg they shared a gig with Little Richard at The Star Club. While they were playing in the Cavern Club, Brian Epstein gained an interest in them. He became their manager and altered their appearance with matching suits to give them more audience appeal. In 1962 Ringo Starr replaced Pete Best as drummer.
