Rachel Chimera studied briefly in Madrid, Spain, during her college days. In later years she utilized her fluency in Spanish teaching English to Spanish expatriates living in the Bay Area. After spending one month studying tango in Buenos Aries, Argentina, she then spent a month learning salsa in Havana, Cuba, while assisting the tango teachers in their classes. She has acted in several small films and plays and served as assistant director on Jesse’s Reasons, a short firm.

Ms. Chimera served as a personal assistant to writer and actor Lynne Breedlove in the short film Godspeed. A health and fitness enthusiast, she also worked at a health studio and at a dance studio. Ms. Chimera has long had a personal meditation practice. She received a B.A. in psychology and graduated magna cum laude from the University of Missouri. She is a member of the charities, American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals and Heifer International.</description>
