B. BREAKFAST ON TUESDAY: On Tuesday morning, go to the Gutman Gallery area (first floor of Gutman) for continental breakfast.

C. Plenary on Tuesday: Then check Sched app to find out which plenary you are attending: there are three concurrent plenaries, so don't automatically head to Askwith, where we were on Monday morning!!!

D. Changing mini courses: Many mini courses are full. If you wish to make a change to a session you are attending, visit the PZC Help Desk on the first floor of Gutman.

The study group will be your ‘homeroom’ for the week where the goals will be to:  

1. Discuss and synthesize the ideas from the institute (plenaries, MC and readings)

2. Connect what you’ve learned to your classroom and your school or other context- We hope you will identify some burning questions, and through discussing will collaboratively inquire into those questions

3. Make connections between the PZ presentations and the PZ topics and Throughlines - and between PZ ideas and your own ideas.

4. What (and when) is documentation, and why do we do it?

Connections: How you relate to the thing; in some way there is some relevance to it.

Feelings, Memory, Experience-- Strong Feeling; Empathetic in Nature- Creating a Visceral Reaction

Expressing the Understanding you have of something in your own language/perspective/your own thinking- not representing it word for word, but a collective meaning.

Imagining- Creating a visual representation of the thing for a easier understanding

2)  How you have refined it, narrowed the scope and made it more achievable – your new question

3) What experiences/readings at PZC have helped to create a shift in your thinking and may have informed/enlightened your question – finding evidence

4) A first step you could take in school to pursue your question further

Everyone needs to decide how they will show this – we like the idea of you doing this as a Performance of Understanding as in the Understanding Experience on Monday – so using art, music or movement. Each person can only share for 5 mins. Max!

It often includes:

• Presentations, performances, or portfolios

• Real-world problems or inquiry projects

• Reflection on learning process and outcomes

The goal is to make learning visible, meaningful, and connected to the world outside the classroom.

In what ways might we keep these ideas alive???

How might we bring these ideas back to our communities and cultivate a culture of thinking and understanding???

2) Make a text response to whatever you receive from the person before you.

3) After you respond, fold over the previous person’s contribution and pass to your neighbor. Your neighbor should only ever see/respond to your contribution.
