When thinking of technology a teacher must be mindful of what type of person Identifying Information (PII) students may be asked to supply  when completing assignments on the web or even in a classroom application.  If it does not coincide with FERPA laws, regulations, or the school technology policy then teachers will not be able to use those applications or websites. It is inherent that teachers know what these policies are and that they abide by  and enforce them in their own practices.
