Growing up, I had so many ideas of what I wanted my future to look like. Throughout high school, I dedicated my time to mastering broadcast journalism through livestreaming games, anchoring, reporting, and editing. When Senior year came, I knew I wanted to do something different for my career. I learned more about criminal justice, and knew the only way I would feel fulfilled was through directly helping those in need. That's when I decided I would major in Criminology and Sociology.

Once I got to the University of Arkansas last year and had the opportunity to take classes in criminology and sociology, I knew it was the right field for me. Learning more about these subjects has inspired me to pursue a Master's degree after my undergraduate studies. To complete my education sooner, I am working hard to obtain my Bachelor's degree at least a year early. To stay motivated, I try to make sure I spend plenty of time with my friends and stay involved in my sorority! I am excited for this upcoming school year because I will get the chance to live with my best friends!

After receiving my Master's degree, my dream is to work for the FBI in either homicide or human trafficking. I think I would thrive in a profession where I'm able to help others directly, even on their darkest days. While pursuing my career I want to live in NYC. I've always loved Manhattan and I feel like it's the place for me! Eventually, I think it would be nice to settle down with my family somewhere in the Pacific Northwest.
