Tattoos from the authors prospective seem to be seen as a tribute to certain periods in peoples lives, Collins sees it as something that shouldn't be considered a mistake. When mentioning removable ink the author almost seems to think its just as unpractical as it is practical since you can remove the ink but there is no meaning to it if it takes so little to get rid of it. Some people think tattoos are a waste of money and are stupid because it is permanent ink on your body that you could regret in the future, and it could turn out not the way you expected and it could cause harm to your body, and it sometimes won't turn out perfect. Many people think tattoos are bad because they are permanent and you can never take them off.  People also think they mess up your body and people who do have tattoos are thugs or scarred people or people who had a bad childhood. But I think tattoos aren't always something to be a regretful mistake.
