The government responded negatively to the rap video. The minister Shanmugan noted that if the rap video creators were not happy with the advertisement, they could have done other things like asking for an apology/filing a police report instead of just making a vulgar video that is very offensive to express ones thoughts on a particular matter they do not agree with, and that what the rap video creator was wrong and too far.

i do not think the rap video in response to the nets e- pay advertise was appropriate. the rap video consisted of many vulgarities and though it was not physically harmful to anyone, but even through the screen pointing gestures, or just verbally saying these words can hurt many people's feelings. audiences of the rap video would definitely feel insulted as they would feel that their borderlines are crossed and such a small issue should not result to an insulting response. instead people should talk thing out maturely to protect the respect of the opposing person.
