If you put an inexperienced sailor in a boat with smooth water you don't need to do any work or put any effort in sailing it

If you put an inexperienced sailor on smooth seas they just sit there and do nothing. If an experienced sailor was in rough water they need to put effort in it and do something. If not the boat just glides in the water and needs no assistance. In life if you are doing something that is too easy you go through it effortlessly but you should have some challege in life and like  an experienced sailor learn a skill and have fun with it. You have to put some effort in to get good results
