Both companies take's a lot of money to set up the company and there are certain restrictions when making a company name. The information's about the owner and the business are to kept record and shown to the public.
LTD: In order to open an LTD company, it will cost more than PLC. There should be two shareholders where decisions should be made between them. Narrows down the liability to itself. When the company loses money it is all responsible for the company to deal with it. They cannot trade shares on stock exchanges.
PLC: When protecting shareholders, the legal and regulatory requirements are more difficult to deal with than for private limited companies. It is harder to manage who is the shareholder in the company.
