MY FIRST DAY (9/08/2107)

The first day of my work began at 9.00am, The day started off with the Manager Mr. Ilham introducing himself and together with several other pharmacists who were on duty that day. I was immediately taught of the arrangements of medicinal and household supplies inside the pharmacy. For an example, a particular shelf for controlled medicines and aisles for variety of milk, traditional medicine, baby goods and toiletries in view for customers. At 10.00am, I started to help my new colleagues to pack 10 pieces of face mask in one plastic container to be sold. At 11.00am, new items started arriving from the suppliers and my colleagues taught me how to place price tags on the products. After the tagging, I began to set up the products on their respective aisles for sale.
 In the noon, I shifted more items from the store and Mr. Ilham taught me how to check the product’s code for verification and manufacturing source. My recess was an hour from 1.00pm to 2.00pm. Next, I started interacting with the customers by asking for the kind of goods they’re looking for and help them point the direction of the good. I was stationed near the cashier to help bag up the goods for the customers. At 3.00pm, one of my colleagues taught me how to register the new drugs into the pharmacy system for recording. My shift ended at 4.00pm.

MY SECOND DAY (10/08/2017

The second day began at 9.00am, I started wiping the pharmaceutical’s mirrors and swept the floor. At 10.00am, I used a feather-duster to tidy up the aisles of products. At 11.00am, I started putting on the price tags on new products from the store and set them up for sale. Next, at 12.00pm, my colleagues taught me about supplementation of drugs such as supplementation for calcium, diabetes, hypertension etc. My recess began at 1:00 pm and ended at 2.00pm. At 2.00pm one of my colleague taught me on how to use the blood pressure monitor to check in with the customers. This service is particularly free of charge in the pharmaceutical and customers can come in to examine their blood pressure. At 3:00pm, I packed up two types of glove namely nitrile gloves and latex disposable ones in one packet containing 10 each and place a price tag. My shift ended at 4.00pm.

MY THIRD DAY (11/08/2017)

The third day began at 9.00am as usual. I started by sweeping the floor and throwing the garbage. At 10.00am, I arranged the sample of the drug for the customers to test out before buying them. While at 11.00a.m. I examined the blood pressure for the customer by using the monitor. At 11.30am, my colleague assigned me to pack ‘Citrex’ vitamin C in 10 tablets per packet. At 12.30pm, I picked up some goods from the store filled the empty shelves in the pharmaceutical. After the recess, I packed needles every 10 packets of syringes and place the price tag. At 3.00pm, I helped some customers by giving them descriptions of certain products and assigned myself near the cashier to bag up the sold products. At 4.00pm, my shift ended.

MY FOURTH DAY (12/08/2017)

The fourth day started off at 9.00am, I started wiping the windows and mirrors and continued to tidy up the shelves of the products. At 10.00am, I checked the blood pressure for the customer and later, my colleague taught me how to examine the diabetes level for the customers. At 11.00am, I replaced the wheel chair from the display with a new one from the store. At 12.00pm, new items were put up for sale and it was time I checked the product code, expiration date and the flat price for the product at sale. At 2.00p.m, I started to tidy up the products for testing and display to make sure everything is spotless. At 4.00pm, before ending my shift I informed my colleagues of the new products that needed to be replaced.

MY FIFTH DAY (13/08/2017)

The fifth day started off with some tidying up around the shop. At 10.00am, I sorted out the products in its respective place for sale and replace old and expired products with new ones. At 11.00am, I arranged the products according to its manufacturer and brands. At 12.00pm, I checked the blood and weight for the customers. While at 12.30pm, I put up more boxes of goods in the shop for sale. After the break at 2.00pm, new products from different manufacturer are introduced to the shop and are placed for customers to view. At 3.00pm, I recorded new products into the pharmaceutical system to update the goods and keep track of the sold goods. At 4.00pm, my shift ended.

MY SIXTH DAY (14/08/2017)

The sixth day began with me wiping the pharmaceutical’s windows and dumped the garbage. At 10.00am, Mr. Ilham taught me how to check cholesterol for the customers and at 10.30am, I packed up medicines for cold, diarrhea and painkillers. At 11.30am, Mr. Ilham taught me the names of certain drugs and their functions. For an example, Ibuprofen is used for fever, Difflam medicines are used for pain and aches, Chloramine and vitamin C are for flu. At 12.30am, it was time to check blood pressure, diabetes and the weight of the customers. At 2.00pm, Dexfen syrup products were supplied and had to be stored in the store for later use. At 3.00pm, I came to aid some customers who needed help in buying certain products and later assigned myself to pack the sold goods near the cashier. At 4.00pm, my shift ended.

MY SEVENTH DAY (15/08/2017)

The seventh days started at 9.00am, with some chores around the shop. At 10.00am, I had to check cholesterol for customers. There was also a customer who wanted to buy a walking stick and I attended to them. At 11.00am, me and my colleagues cleaned up the store by removing the old goods and replace them with new ones and at 12.00pm, I checked the diabetes level for one of the customers. At 12.30pm, the suppliers came by and calculated the quantity of products and supplied new ones. After the break, Mr. Ilham taught me how to use a wheelchair and a way of folding. At 3.00pm new items were put up to sale and I had to put on the price tag on them and record the ones being sold. At 4.00pm, my shift ended.

MY EIGHTH DAY (16/08/2017)

The eighth day began at 9.00am as I wiped the pharmacy windows and dumped the garbage. At 10.00am, I referred to the system by reviewing the name and identification card in the record of who bought the contraceptives, for example, Fucon and Hovasc Dexalone. At 10.30am, my colleagues and I started to package gloves in a pack of 10 pieces. At 11.30am, new products arrived and Mr. Ilham and I sorted out the quantity and price tags of the products. At 12.30pm, I checked the blood pressure and diabetes for customers. From 1.00pm to 2.00pm, my break was on. At 2.00pm I ordered 60 wellness milk from the supplier and arranged baby items in the store. At 3.00pm, I helped some customers to search for certain products requested by the customer and after that, I bag up the sold goods in plastic for them. At 4.00pm, the working hours ended.

MY NINTH DAY (17/08/2017)

The ninth day started at 9.00am with me cleaning the dust on the product and throwing away the garbage. At 10.00am, I distributed a medication for itching from a large bottle to small bottles. At 11.00am, Mr. Ilham and I added new products to the shelves which was bandage product for the wrist, knee, and elbow. I arranged the bandages all according to sizes and brands. At 12.00pm, I mopped the floor and cleaned the shelves. At 12.30pm I checked blood pressure and diabetes for customers. New items arrived from the supplier and I tagged the products with prices and place them on the shelves to be sold. At 3.00pm Mr. Ilham talked about blood check campaigns that we’re undergoing on 4/9/2017 and that we needed to prepare the essentials for the customers. I asked for help from the colleagues when the customer came to enquire about the blood check according to the packages. At 4.00pm, the working hours ended.

MY TENTH DAY (18/08/2017)

The tenth day started as I swept the floor and wiped the pharmaceutical mirrors. At 10.30am, I checked blood pressure and diabetes for the customers. At 11.00am, I helped the customers to find certain items and informed them of the medicinal properties and types of uses. At 12.00pm, my colleagues and I tidied up he shop and made sure everything is spotless. At 2.00pm, I checked cholesterol for customers and at 2.30pm Mr. Ilham taught me about the medicinal properties of herbal products and how to use them. At 3.30pm, I filled in the spaces with new goods for sale. At 4.00pm, the working hours ended.

MY ELEVENTH DAY (19/08/2017)

The eleventh day started as wiped the glass panel and the cleaned the cash register counter. At 11.00am, the dairy products were delivered to the pharmacy which includes milk supplements such as Ensure Gold, and Pediasure. I put on the price tags on each canned milk and placed them on the shelves for sale. Next, at 11.30am, I rearranged a bunch of receipts in a file which is from the agents and every agent has a respective code. This is to make sure that all the records are kept neatly and would be easier if someone were to check the deliveries. At 12.30pm, customers came in to check cholesterol, hypertension and diabetes which I helped and wrote them the medical form of their results. Following at 1.00 pm, I distributed tablets such as the Iberet Folic Acid tablet from the bigger bottles into the smaller ones with of each bottle containing 10 tablets. Meanwhile, at 3.00am, I helped a customer who came in to change his dressing on a wound on the knee and checked the level of hypertension on him.

MY TWELFTH DAY (20/08/2017)

The twelfth day started with some cleaning and throwing the garbage. At 10.00am, I checked blood pressure and cholesterol for the customers. At 10.30am, the new goods come from the supplier and my colleagues and I checked the quantity, entered the product type in the system, placed the price tag, and continued to arrange them in place of sale. At 11.30am, Mr. Ilham and I cleaned the store and sell off the empty boxes in the store. At 12.30pm, a customer came in and gave a wheel chair for repair and I took the wheel chair to the store with receipt to be sent to the supplier. At 2.00pm, I checked the diabetes and weight for customers. At 2.30pm, I arranged the baby napkins and adult diapers from the store. At 3:00pm, I cleaned the dust on the product in the store and wiped the product in the shelves. At 4.00pm, the working hours ended.

MY THIRTEENTH DAY (21/08/2017

The 13th day began at 9.00am as I wiped the pharmaceutical mirror and dumped the garbage. At 10.00am, I packed a supplement of a bottle with 20 tablets per pack. At 11.00am, I checked blood pressure and diabetes for customers. At 11.30am, new goods arrived at the pharmacy, so I recorded them in the system, calculate the quantity, place the price tag and stack everything up for sale. At 12.30pm, I rechecked the quantity of the product in the system and prepared the order of the product which was from the customer. At 2.00pm, I arranged the boxes in the store and at 2.30pm, I ask for all the receipts from the supplier for recording. At 3.00am, I helped the customers to find certain products and put them all in plastic bags before checking out. At 4 pm the working hours ended.

MY FOURTEENTH DAY (22/08/2017)

The 14th day began as usual at 9.00am with some chores in the shop. At 10.00am, I gave a blood check campaign form, gave information and took deposits from customers. At 11.00am, I checked blood pressure and diabetes for the customers. At 12.00pm, new item came in from the supplier, so I check the quantity, price and arranged them up for sale. At 2.00pm, I packed empty capsules in a bottle of 100. At 3.00pm, I arrange the wheel chair and walking stick neatly and took more wheel chairs from the store to be placed for sale. At 4.00pm, the working hours ended.
