My reflection on the effectiveness of exercise

I find that exercise to be one the most highly effective ways reducing stress, both in the short-term and long-term. From either a slight jog to miles of running to heavy weightlifting whenever I exercise It helps me release the pent-up energy and tension, which are both stress contributing factors. Exercising for me also helps improve my sleep quality, which is crucial for stress management, because I notice I get a much better night’s rest and morning wake on the days I workout than the days I’m slacked all day. One huge thing exercise did for me which is why I recommended exercising to everybody was that it improved my self-esteem and confidence, which can reduce stress and anxiety. I used to be overweight and disliked how unhealthy I was but since I started exercising, I'm now in great shape, I look great and most importantly I feel great. So I would say exercising is really effective at managing stress.
