While there talking guards appear in the woods and Sofia and Erin start hiding afraid to get caught. This Ball is for the girls to be chosen by there future husband. Sofia's mother forgot to get Sofia's ribbon's for her dress. She ask Sofia to go get her ribbons with Luke. Sofia and Luke arrive at the store Sofia tells Luke to wait for her outside. When Sofia enters the store she spots her ribbon but then sees a kid curled up crying. The kid reveal that he was crying because his father is yelling at his mother again. Sofia goes to where she hears a loud commotion coming from "'You take what they can afford to give? What are we--a charity?' He raises his fist, and the woman winces as if he's already struck her" (Cinderella is dead).  Sofia asks the seamstress to help her find her ribbon and the man seems angered by this but the lady takes her. Sofia asks if there is any way to help the lady and her son but the lady replies "'What could you do?' Than the King orders the guards to take her away as she being taken away she says sorry.  "'Wait!' she screams as the guard drags her toward the side door. 'Please--I'm sorry!"' (Cinderella is dead) The continues Sofia sees Luke Luke tells her that he will choose her as his wife and they will run away together. Instead of them running away together something goes wrong Sofia escapes the Ball alone while Luke is being dragged away by the guards. When Sofia meets Constance she takes her to Cinderellas old home. When there are at the home she reveals that she is related to Gabrielle Cinderella's step sister. Constance tells Sofia that Cinderella told Gabrielle before she died that the prince put a curse upon Mersailles. Sofia is in shock to hear that the Cinderella story is a fake even though she didn't trust the story in the first place. Constance and Sofia want to know the truth about what happened to Cinderella so they will go look for the godmother. So they plan to go to the White Woods where it is said to be the late place the fairy godmother has been seen. "'The White Woods? You want to go looking for the answers there?' "'Do you not respect the rules that have been set forth for you?' the king asks". The king has made an announcement that the girl that ran away at the ball has been captured. (meaning Sofia) The king brings out a woman that had a hood over her head and her wrists tied up. The king states that the woman helped the girl escape from the ball and is providing her resources for her escape. The king walks over to a young girl and tells her to smile and look at the woman with the hood and a man with an axes steps out. The king tells the woman is it worth her life to help someone escape her fate. The woman replies "'If my life could serve a purpose,' the woman begins, raising her head a little and looking directly at the king, 'then let this be it. I would die to give even just one person the chance to be free from you"' (Cinderella is dead). The king gives a signal to the man and he beheads her. When Sofia and Constance see the house there is a woman standing on the porch. While Constance and Sofia are scared Constance is holding her dagger. The lady asks them if they are going to come in or not but they are also welcome to stay outside too. The woman states "'You've come a very long way,' says the woman. 'Venturing this far into the White Wood means only one thing- you're either very stupid or very desperate"' (Cinderella is dead). Constance tells the woman that they didn't come to meet her for a spell, for luck, or protection the came to meet her. They wanted information on why Cinderella betrayed her family to marry Prince Charming. The woman's name is Amina and Sofia pleads with her telling her that she didn't risk her life going through the White Woods to not know anything. Amina tells Sofia that if she tells her the story of what happened to Cinderella people have a hard time believing her. "'Even if I told you the truth, you wouldn't believe me. I sometimes find it hard to believe myself. When they saw Cinderella's body her hair was white, her face is crisscrossed, her eyelids are paper thin, and her skin is pallid gray. "'It's not right,' Constance says shaking her head. 'Why does she look like this? This isn't what a body should look like at all' (Cinderella is dead). Amina tells Sofia to start preparing for the ritual. They start to call out Cinderella's name and she starts speaking pleading to help her. Cinderella starts talking to Constance telling her she look like Gabrielle. Cinderella couldn't remember much she only said that there was a light to Constance. "'She said it was only him and her and the light,' Constance says. 'And then nothing. He was there when she died, and she said he did that to her" (Cinderella is dead). Amina puts a spell on a tree and tell Sofia to ask what she will need but everything will go back at the stroke of midnight. Amina gives Sofia a dagger and she waits for her to come back. Amina brings Sofia's ride but than a ball of light engulfs Amina and Constance grabs her dagger about to stab Amina. The music stops as they dance and Manford tells the people to move to the courtyard and the everyone start rushing out of the ballroom. When everyone is gone Manford drags Sofia into a room while they argue that Manford is a monster Sofia cuts his throat. She was waiting for him to fall to bleed but all he did was laugh at her for trying but it didn't work. Then Manford says take her away and guards grab her and put a cloth over her head. Then the guards tie her hands and throw her into a cell. Sofia starts talking to see if anyone is there and someone starts talking telling Sofia to be quiet. The girl ends up telling her that "'The draining?' I ask. 'Oh, Sophia.´ Ëmile signs. 'You cannot know what it's like. It's like dying. He wraps you up and then you're falling, and if you return, you are-changed"' (Cinderella is dead). Emile tells her that this is why he is hosting the ball every year to get people and drain them till they die. Sofia ends up finding a way to escape and starts freeing the people in the cells. Sofia wants to find the book Cinderella wanted to give Gabrielle. She ends up finding Cinderella room and finds the book. When she finds the book she goes back for more of the people in the cells. Manford ends up finding Sofia and starts draining her and then Constance stabs Manford. Then Amina walks in smiling but with sad eyes. The king approach Amina and kiss her on the head and says mother. Constance ends up stabbing Amina and Manford start to shed his skin and slow start to turn to dust. Manford and Amina both die.
