The first important event that happened in the story, is when Steve left Fanella because he was seeing another woman. That fact is the cause of the end of the adoption plan.
After that, Fanella was so scared because she didn't have a possible father for her future son and that probably affect in the adoption.
Teresa asked her friend if she can go to Timothy's class. In this event she had to speak to the teacher (Rod) and she fell in love, but he was married.
Then the adoption agency assigned her a girl called Ellie. Fanella went to met Ellie to the house where she and her family lives and when they saw each other, Fanella realized that she was the 
indicated.
Months later, Ellie can live at Fanella's house but she doesn't adopt Ellie yet. In this days, Fanella realized that raise Ellie it was going to be harder than she thought. 
Ellie started going to the school. There she met Rod and they created a very good relation.

Teressa: Fanella's friend is a very simple woman, she has got brown long hair and she usually dressed  with jeans and a neutral shirt. she is a very comprehensive friend because she is always able to listen Fanella's problems.
