The target audience was females and males aged between 15 and 25, and interested in the latest tech, gossip and news. I attracted this audience in a number of ways related to the different age groups and gender; if this is done successfully my magazine will appeal to the target audience set for my magazine.

My front cover appeals to my target audience in a few different ways, for instance my colour theme is simple yet colourful, I kept the theme to 3 main colours of which these colours would appeal to a younger age group such as 15 to 25 year olds, by using these colours my front cover isn’t too bland and boring but still excites and intrigues readers

The different sized fonts and colours used make the page a lot more interesting and stand out which I think the target audience like to see in order to get them to look at it. Also, the magazine features different artist ranging from females to males, bands, solo artists and acoustic players, artists such as Drake, The 1975 and Disclosure would appeal to both genders but more on the male side, also the fact there is a beautiful young lady directly looking at you would attract male customers. Furthermore, in my research before producing my media product I found out that to intrigue most readers, they would like to see a famous person or celebrity on the front cover of a magazine.

My contents page is similar to Q’s magazine contents page; I used this as my inspiration for my own product as Q magazine is a very successful magazine being bought worldwide and selling to a similar target audience. I liked Q’s contents page as it was simple yet still had all the information needed to let the readers know and have an insight on what is going to be in the magazine issue. Also the main colour theme of their contents was eye catching to the age group, so analysing these things I included them as I know they will attract a younger audience.

My double page spread also appeals to my target audience a lot as I included a variation of things I found from my research which appeals to them. I kept to a certain colour theme of 3 colours as it keeps the magazine professional looking and also looks neat to the readers. I kept my colours simple only using; black, white and purple, I feel black and white attract and kind of audience but the colour purple keeps that younger vibe within the double page. Lastly, I incorporated didn’t fonts and different sizes for those fonts. As the main heading and sub heading I used large fonts to attract the audience as it’s big and exciting to the younger age group.

How did you attract your audience?
