Cognitive:
-At 7 months babies become interested in mirrors and reflections.

-Memory starts to improve, peek-a-boo is a good example of this. Babies will be surprised but they will start to notice patterns and after enough repetition will realize what is actually happening.

-They interact with toys more, they attempt to play with them.

-Talking with infants will help build multisensory experiences.

-Their sensitive periods are when they are more receptive to new experiences, it's a learning window.

Physical:

-At 7 months, babies tend to be able to sit up straight. Tummy time helps develop neck and shoulder strength allowing them to successfully sit up straight.

-8 months is when babies typically begin to crawl, they can release object voluntarily, and they can also develop a pincer grip which helps them be able to write in the future.
-Often, they can engage in hand to mouth feeding.
-At 9-12 months, babies can walk holding onto furniture. At 10 months, they can confidently stand alone! At by 12 months most babies are taking their first steps.

Socio-emotional:

-Responsive care is when an adult changes to match a child's temperament, it makes the baby feel more secure.

- Goodness of Fit is how well a caregiver adjusts to the baby's temperament.
-Babies are in Stage 1 of Erikson's psychosocial developmental theory. They are learning to gain a sense of trust from those who surround them.

-Piaget's theory states that babies are "egocentric" they can only see the world one way.
