My parents don’t necessarily want me to follow there footsteps as in the same career, but they would like me to go co olerte my education, go to college and get a sub stainable job. I’m very handful that they do not pressure me in any sort of way. A they have allowed me to figure it out on my own and have been very free with what i’m allowed to do. I think it is wrong for parents to pressure their kris into following what they did because ever person is different and I believe we should all create our own path and branch off doing our own things. If we follow our parents in everything they do how are we gonna learn and experience new things. We need that freedom to develope and grow physically, mentally, and socially.

My role models are athletes such as paul pogba and artists like marshmallow. Paul pogba is one of my favorite soccer players and he is definatley known as one of the best in the world. I constantly watch his game and try to learn and mend it into mine. He shows me new skills and how to maturely act on/off the field. Marshmallow is one of my role models because he too is a dj like me, just a whole lot better. I first got into djing becuase of him and seeing him on stage in front of 100s of thousands of people. I knew as soon as I saw him that djing is something i want to pursue.

Throughout the story Sonny is like the “mut” of the family. No one really understands him or cares to understand him beside Elsie, the mother. Elise stated, “ Sitting at a typewriter pecking out forms, or writing in a ledger about how many tons got loaded in a day. That’s the best your dad thinks you can do” (Hickam 43). This just goes to show that the dad has very little belief that his son will accomplish his dreams or become anything close to successful. This isn’t the only iffy relationship Homer Sr. has with his family. Himself and his wife are also off and on. For example when the topic of high school football and the principles of the game came into conversation Elise, “ Went into the living room and stood over him. What principle? It’s his gas hook football!”(Hickam 53). The emotion used in this statement makes me believe that it had been bundled up inside of her and just waiting to come out for a long time. That means that they have there differences and she is finally making her opinion known, it is not okay.
