Padlet Parking Lot

Create a padlet “parking lot.” Display the parking lot during your lesson or just have it on your own computer depending on your lesson needs, as long as you can see it. Have students open the Padlet on their devices. During the lesson, have students drop their questions that are not urgent in the parking lot. Check it periodically and respond verbally as needed. You can also allow other students to respond on the padlet if appropriate.

Flip

Flip (Formerly FlipGrid) allows students to respond to a prompt by recording themselves from home. This is usually used to have students preview a concept before the actual lesson, hence the name "Flip" (flipped classroom). The teacher can then preview the responses and show some of them in class as a "Before Stategy." Students love being featured, so set high expectations for how to be selected!
