Bangkok has a trading deal with South- East Asia. Trading sustains Bangkok's economy, trading also draws workers to the area. Tuk - Tuks are a cheap and easy way to get around in Bangkok.
Urban Problems In Bangkok

Some of the Urban Issues In Bangkok are...

Traffic, it is a huge urban problem in Bangkok, it is estimated that in 2006 the total number of vehicles was 20 million. By 2011 this figure had lowered to 11.2 million. My solution to this problem would be to have stricter rules on who can drive. Also to build wider roads so they aren't as busy.

Health, Bangkok has a lot of different diseases that cause heaps of health related issues to many of the population. Some of these include include Dengue hemorrhagic fever, Japanese encephalitis, Malaria, Rabies, Sexually transmitted diseases, Typhoid fever and Viral hepatitis. My solution to this problem would be to give free vaccinations for common diseases, and to make people more aware of the common health issues.

Pollution and water sanity, the air pollution in Bangkok is very unhealthy. Any one breathing in the air is at risk of health problems. To avoid this you are advised to drink plenty of fluids. The waterways in Bangkok are also heavily polluted, they can give off a odorous smell. The waterways are so polluted because most houses in Bangkok dump there waste into the storm drains. These drains connect to the waterways and canals in the city. My solution to this problem would be to have places out of town where people could dump their waste. Also to have more access to cleaner water for the people.

Homelessness and Slums, a large majority of Bangkok consists of slums. There are many homeless people living on the streets in Bangkok. This is so dangerous. They are at risk of violence, rape and sometimes even prostitution. More often then not the homeless people in Bangkok are usually drug addicts. My solution to this problem would be to have greater job opportunities for poor people. Also build more cheaper houses for people living in slums to buy. Another solution would be to make people more aware of homelessness and help people to get a job or a home.

Video of traffic in Bangkok
