This book discusses different aspects of reading but in chapter 16 the book explains aspects of inquiry reading. Chapter 16, Collaborative Curriculum Inquiry: Learning Through Evaluation, explains how to incorporate reading cross curricular.  The book has different inquiry style questions and thinking to help teachers guide their students reading.  A large aspect of this chapter is to encourage students that reading should continue after school as well.

In Chapter 1, Beyond Hope and Honeybuns: Changing our approach to test preparation, discusses how a reading workshop provides a comfortable setting and environment for reflecting and giving students the ability to learn from their peers and teachers. Majority of this book provides test-taking instruction practical for students and illustrate how to improve test scores through reading workshops.
