By reusing the cans, not only did they avoid throwing it away- They avoided contributing to mass amounts of garbage being tossed into dumping sites, even just by a little they manage to save the environment and money for a new pot. They all go to waste and 16% of tires fill landfills and it is not recycled, I found this image that uses tires as a pot for plants.
