         <description><![CDATA[<div>Hartford, CT was founded in 1636 by Thomas Hooker and his congregation.<br>hooker and two other towns joined them and started a colony there in Hartford.<br>There were originally many small American Indian tribes in the Connecticut area, the Mohegan, Pequot, Niantic, Nipmuc, Mattabesic, Schaghticoke, Paugussett, and others.<br>The majority of Connecticut is Christian, with the largest group Protestants. There are also large groups of Roman Catholics and non-religious residents.</div>]]></description>

He wanted to set up a place for catholics.<br>Maryland belonged to the southern colonies.&nbsp;<br>Some of the indigenous people that lived in Maryland are the Accohannock, Assateaque, Choptank, Delaware, Matapeake, Nanticoke, Piscataway, Pocomoke, and Shawnee.<br>Maryland has many religions, but the two main ones are Catholics and Protestants.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Georgia was founded in 1732, by the last british colony and James Edward Oglethorpe.&nbsp;<br>King George II establish it for the debtors.&nbsp;<br>Georgia belonged to the southern colonies, some of the indigenous tribes that lived there were the Eastern Cherokee, and The Lower Muscogee Creek Tribe.<br>The early colonists were mostly English though there were also significant amounts of Scots-Irish.</div>]]></description>

He had founded after he was banished from Massachusetts. he believed that people shouldn't be forced to go to church and do religion, and the English settlers should pay the Natives for land.<br>Rhode Island belongs to New England.&nbsp;<br>When the first European settlers arrived, the Native tribes in Rhode Island were the Narragansett and Wampanoag.<br><br></div>]]></description>

England wanted land for itself so it sent a fleet, to the Dutch. the Dutch had surrendered and the new colony was renamed New York, after the duke of York.<br>New York belonged to the middle colonies. There were multiple tribes that lived in the New York colony, but the main 4 are the Lenni Lenape, Erie, Iroquois, and the Mahican. the Dutch colony never identified itself as a religious state. New York  counted Jews, and Catholics.</div>]]></description>

The Lenape, or Delaware, tribe and the Susquehannock tribe lived in Pennsylvania.&nbsp;<br>Pennsylvania was full of quakers, who believe in equality of the sexes, nonviolence, and tolerance that felt like a threat to puritans. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>north carolina was founded in 1710, by John White.<br>&nbsp;North Carolina became a colony because the Proprietary Lords who owned the colony of Carolina decided that their colony was too large.<br>North Carolina belongs to the Southern Colonies.&nbsp;<br>the indigenous tribes that lived in North Carolina were the Coharie, the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians, the Haliwa-Saponi, the Lumbee Tribe of North Carolina, the Meherrin, the Sappony, the Occaneechi Band of the Saponi Nation and the Waccamaw Siouan.<br>The Culture of North Carolina is a subculture in the United States. most of the colonies came from England with African slaves.
