Computers took the role as teacher, and gave students positive or negative feedback. Students were able to progress at their own pace.

1970's - 1980's Communicative CALL

Computer programs were developed and accepted a variety of responses not judging the students when they made mistakes and encouraged them to create their own sentences.

1990's Integrative CALL

Educators move towards project-based learning and started to make assignments integrating a variety of skills. Now the student had more freedom to learn according his own needs.

Technology advanced in two important ways: multimedia and the wrold wide web.

2000's - Today

Nowadays the CALLs are more interactive and personalized to each one of the students it also started to be more accesible.

Now the language learning is more flexible to students and educators, we can even use them to have a real time communication with native speakers.

Language learning platform began to incorporate AI based lessons.
