The Power of Society

The power of society is how society plays a very important roll in our life. for example how society makes many decisions for us as human beings and our task is to obey the rules/laws.

My personal reflection on the power of society is that I feel very sad sometimes because I know that my entire life depends on society. In my opinion it would have been great if we had the chance to make our own decisions and every single person on earth had the liberty to do so. But, I know that regardless of my feelings the world and society is how it is and It can not be changed.

Summary(class consciousness)

Class consciousness is the self understanding persons who have been trapped in the false concept of social status. Members of the lower class that became aware of the capitalistic exploitation they were in, and decided to make change on their ways of living and thinking. class consciousness illustrates how persons from a society decided not to work harder and still be poor while the rich became even richer.

(My personal Analysis)
My reflection on class consciousness is that it is very amazing for me to understand how persons that were from lower class stood up for their rights and to stop being slaves of labor, who always receive the minimal benefit while the member of the middle and upper class were the ones that benefited the most and were the one that did less. class consciousness teaches us a lesson that if we want to change something in society ,we have to change the way we think first, and know our worth and value. if it implies to stand for our rights we should do so.

Culture shock is that feeling of disorientation a person might experience when he/she move from their culture environment to a unfamiliar and different culture environment that is completely new to them. Culture shock may be experienced when migrating or when going to visit or study,in a new country.

(PERSONAL ANALYSIS) CULTURE SHOCK
I personally know that feeling of culture shock .I have been exposed to it when studying in chetumal. Their culture such as the food, beliefs and language are totally different from our culture. Also another experience about culture shock was when I went to El Salvador there the people even bullied me for my language I know the feeling of it we just what to leave everything and go back to our country that same instance.

Summary(Master status)

Master status is the status that has a huge impact on a person's identity and also in a person's social life. A master status is the most important status a person may have. A master status can be positive(prime minister) and negative(serial killer). A master status can either be ascribed (given) or can also be achieved(gained/ worked for).Master status is important to how we see ourselves and how we are seen by others.

(PERSONAL ANALYIS) MASTER STATUS
In my point of view master status is very important since it determines how we are seen in society. for example someone's job/ occupation can be a master status since they are identified with, such as doctors or police officers and this will be a clear example of achieved master status since they gain that status .An example of a master status that is been ascribed, in other words given would be the son of a king, in his first day of life he had already acquired a master status in society. I think that If we as humans what to achieve a master status we should make sure that it would be a master status that can be positive to other, and we are seen in a good way by society, because it is important for us to know that master status shapes a person's life and can be either in a positive or negative way.

Summary (social construction through social media)

social construction through social media is the way how persons in society create their own realities on social media and how they want to be seen, and what material/information they want society to perceive from them . People usually share videos, pictures and their own thought through the platforms.

(personal analysis)
my opinion about social construction through social media is that it has advantages and disadvantages, and also real and fake content. some persons share verses of the bible and motivational quotes so they are seen as religious, peaceful persons. some share vacation ,luxury, money to be seen as wealthy persons even if it is not the case some times, they might to it to impress others . some share parties, alcoholic beverages and other stuff to be seen as cool and party people, they share information(pictures videos) as to how the want to be and seen in society. sadly sometimes people treat you the way the think you are or the image you give to them.
