Acknowledge it first.&nbsp; Administrators need to express it.<br>Extrovert.<br>NO has worked on the work a la Schlechty for several years as part of the network.&nbsp; Kenston and OF are in year 2.&nbsp; J is new to the game.<br>A's coaching experience has been with walkthroughs, and she has coached athletics.  J has participated in diversity audits around the state.  He believes we need a strong background in adult learning in order to be an effective instructional coach -- and we don't get that. <br><br></div>]]></description>

The understanding that mistakes are okay and that learning will fall into place for all learners, just at different times is really important for us.&nbsp; Additionally, it is clear that all students can make academic growth and that every child deserves a good teacher. &nbsp;<br>&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;In the moment feedback is important.....right when the help is needed.&nbsp; Also, it is important to choose the right mode of delivery to best communicate the help that is needed.&nbsp; For students, it's important to provide a focus for student learning so they know where they are going instead of just doing activities.&nbsp; Also, it's important to create strong student relationships&nbsp; so that students feel like everyone is in this process of learning together.&nbsp;<br>    &nbsp; Constantly throwing out ideas and collaborating is the most helpful way to help "thinking" about something.&nbsp; It can also be helpful to read literature about the topic where help is needed.&nbsp;</div>]]></description>

We're trying to be more effective with colleagues.  It's hard sometimes to get work done with your work friends.  We often spend way too much time admiring the problem and/or blaming others.  We need to listen. Can't preach. Important to define the problem specifically before we attempt to solve it.  To make collaborative teams more effective, pinky swear before the meeting starts that we'll be honest about what's going on and be willing to change.</div>]]></description>
