One thing that concerns me about using technology in math is that there are so many websites where students can just type in the math problem and it'll give them the answers, and I'm not really sure if I can trust my students enough. I'm not sure if it would be good to use websites like mathxl or mathlab for homework just because the students can open another tab on the computer and type in the question and get the answer.

Honestly, math is very good for online use. I do think it misses out from the pen and paper approach of trial and error. One good thing about online is that you already have a calculator with you. Not only this but everything is made simpler and neater because that is the nature of the computer. However, there is the concern about whether or not your students will or won't actually do the work. Because you're going online your students can easily copy a problem into a website and it can solve it for them.

Evan Crutchfield
