In 1986 Arthur was in a car accident and he was subsequently injured. He was pronounced dead scene.  She never had kids. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Shirley wanted to make history so she  made a bid for the Democratic Party's presidential nomination. Shirley was the first black women to ever run for president in the year 1974. She would not be nominated and elected,but she wanted to gain democratic party influence by supporting a winner that year. She did not win the nomination, but she did received 151 of the delegates' votes. </div>]]></description>
