Let me explain, my first reason is because then someone could've had bad allergies to both foods that were cross fed and if they were to consume something they were allergic to, for example, if they were allergic to both tomatoes and salmon, if they were both cross fed and the person ate the cross fed tomato they could have a terrible and dangerous allergic reaction. In the article Food Fight, there were some people who agreed saying the issues about the GM ( Genetically Modified ) foods.
