The treaty, Upper Canada Land Surrenders, or the Upper Canada Treaties

are some agreements between the the Indigenous peoples and the

Crown. This agreement took place on 1764 and got completed on 1862.

This treaty made the First Nations peoples give their land to the

colonial government for several reasons and purposes. The treaty covers

much of the land which is now the southwestern region of Ontario.

Treaty 14 - The Robinson And Douglas Treaties

The Robinson treaty is a government to government treaty

that involved the leaders of the First Nations and the Crown.

The purpose of the treaty was to make relationships between

the Indigenous and the Europeans so that they could be allies

or to earn respect for one another. The Douglas treaty took place during 1950 and ended just 4 years after. The purpose of the treaty was to protect the Aboriginals' rights to fish and hunt for food. James Douglas also provided a little amount of money to spend, clothing to wear, and blankets to stay warm.

Its purpose was to pertain approximately 20,000 square kilometres (49,000 acres) of land in exchange for a one time payment in cash of 25 dollars per person. The people that were to sign the treaties were forced and had no choice to agree or to disagree. Two men ( Maurice Switzer, a treaty educator, and Dave Mowat, a community historian, ranked the Williams treaty one of the worst treaties in Canadian history.

is the first of the 11 treaties in the Numbered treaties.

It involved a trade where the Indigenous received the right to hunt, fish, trap, and they got to ban the usage of alcohol, and to keep peace. But they had to give 100,000 square miles of land.
