The middle class was made up chiefly of merchants, manufacturers, and artisans. The lower class, the largest class by far, consisted of unskilled laborers.’’The 5 social classes are pharaoh being the highest class government officials and priests being the middle class and scribes and artisans.This is the most famous artwork that the Egyptians made. Artisans were not much appreciated for their work.’’The social pyramid in ancient Egypt was rigid because there was little chance to move up to a higher class. People usually stayed in the same class as their parents. Each group had its own role to play. The Egyptians believed that their class system created a stable, well- ordered society.’’ ‘’The ancient Egyptians worshiped over 1,400 different gods and goddesses in their shrines, temples, and homes. These deities were the center of a religion lasting over three thousand years!’’
