If everyone lived by the Beatitudes, the world would be a better, more peaceful place. The first teaching is "Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven". We can live out this teaching by helping the poor and people that are in need. We can also live out this teaching by putting our confidence in God. The second teaching is "Blessed are they who mourn, for they will be comforted". We can live out this teaching by being there for people who are mourning the death of a loved one and helping them through the difficult time. The third teaching is "Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the land". We can live out this teaching by being helpful to anyone and everyone, especially the ones in need. We can also live out this teaching by donating food and clothes to shelters. The fourth teaching is "Blessed are they who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be satisfied". We can live out this teaching by doing the right thing in difficult situations or standing up for someone or something you belived in. The fifth teaching is "Blessed are the merciful, for they will inherit the land". We can live out this teaching by forgiving people for what they did to us, no matter how bad it was or how much it hurt. The sixth teaching is "Blessed are the clean of heart, for they will see God". We can live out this teaching by treating everyone as equals. The seventh teaching is "Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God". In his parable known as "The Mustard Seed", Jesus said, "The kingdom of heaven is like a mustard seed that a man took and sowed in his field. For a school project, she was asked to choose a subject she was passionate about and then create a project to help learn about it. Aiden's passion was dogs in shelters. Based on research she gathered about her passion, she learned that almost half the dogs in shelters are there because people get the wrong kind of dog for their family. For Aiden's project, she designed a website called DogDoOrDogDont.org. The purpose of the website is to find a shelter dog that matches your lifestyle. The website asks a series of questions asking about your home, your backyard, finance, children/house guests, how long the dog would be home alone per day, etc. After you complete the questions, you receive a percentage. On the top of the home page is a tab called results, and brings you to a page where percent ranges are listed and tells you what type of shelter dog would be best for you. Even if you score a 0-10%, Aiden encourages you to try getting a cat! It's hard for shelter dogs to find homes and it's Aiden's goal to make sure they get the right one. Tonight was a very important night, it was the Last Supper. Jesus was eating his last supper with his apostles before he suffers. Even more surprising, Jesus had washed the feet of his apostles. That is a job even most servants don't do. It is very confusing on Jesus' means for this, and no one seems to quite know why he did it. Earlier we talked to Peter who said that he found it strange Jesus had washed his feet, but still looked up to him. During the supper Jesus had broke bread and gave it to the apsotles saying that it was body. So far, we have not been able to get any information on the actual meaning of his metaphor, but it should be covered by our next news show tomorrow morning at six. He also raised a chalace of wine and said that it was his blood. We also have information surfacing about the meaning of his words that will also be covered in tomorrow morning's segment. Jesus has also said that one of his apostles at the table will betray him, but so far we don't know how. Jesus said that he has bestowed a kingdom on to his apostles just as his Father bestowed a kingdom onto him.
