June.
Right after the midnight the aerial attack started. the landing of 24000 British, American and Canadien troops happened shortly after midnight. While 6 houers later the landings of the armored division and infantry began. the target line was 80 kilometers. St. Lô, Carentan and Bayeux where still in german hands. the only two beaches who were linked was Juno and gold. the other 5 beachheads were not linked until 12. June.
However the allied gained control of the area more and more trought the months.
