         <title>Tech Communication in the future...</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Sometimes I wonder if it would be beneficial for teachers in a grade level or group (k-2, 3-5, etc) to decide on a preferred method of communicating with parents (seesaw, dojo, google classroom, class website, etc). I wonder if it would help our staff and school seem more cohesive. Although in some ways it is nice for each teacher to have a choice in the application they choose, it can be cumbersome and frustrating to parents at times who need to download and learn a new app each year and/or have kids in different grades and need to know/have access to many apps to communicate effectively and receive information effectively. Parents may be more engaged and will be more apt to use it if they have more experience (a few years) in using a communication tool... Specialists may also be able to communicate along with the classroom teacher if all teachers were using the same method.<br><br>Right now it is understandable that we are at a point where many teachers are experimenting with the different apps available. But at some point maybe a discussion on the pros and cons and a cohesive plan for the future may be helpful. Just a thought to ponder...<br><br>Answer:<br>GREAT question!          <title>After school duties</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Hi, I been thinking on this situation for a while because it continues to come up. I understand that many things have to be in place for the after school dismissal to run smoothly(for example, an adult needs to be in the Little Cardinal Gym before anyone can be dropped off there and there should be a Kindergarten teacher outside before any students are let out to the busses). In theory, this sounds great but realistically a Kindergarten teacher is not guaranteed the first one to the door. There are a lot of factors in that even if you plan to be the first one out; for example,&nbsp; you may have a student crying in the room or a thrower-upper, whatever be the case. &nbsp;<br><br>My suggestions is that a staff member that does not have a general ed classroom be assigned to bus duty until the Kindergarten teachers can be in their area. Sometimes K teachers have to walk their students to a bus or other things are happening so expecting them to be ready for all of the kids can be a challenge in itself. &nbsp;<br><br>Thank you for listening.</div>]]></description>
