Saint Luke was also was a companion of Saint Paul most notably in Troas, before and after Pauls imprisonment (Year 51 & 58) They travelled together through Miletus, Tyre, Caesarea, to Jerusalem. Only in the Gospel according to Luke will you find the Good Samaritan, all the other evangelist's don't mention this parable. Parables are Narratives that Jesus told the people, and they have a moral message. I find that Nano would have been greatly influenced by the parable as it relates a lot back to her conversion when she saw people waiting outside a church. The message that this parable shows is that even though someone may be an important person they will not always help and that someone else might just help. When Nano saw people in need she helped just like the Good Samaritan.

    Readers when responding to this parable are usually disappointed in the Holy men and grateful to the Samaritan, even though it wasn't happening to them.
    The World of the Text
    The text is in the most basic way Don't judge a book by its cover. The text is a recount of Jesus telling a story to a man, The technique Jesus uses is relating it back to real life.
    The World Behind the Text
    This story was written in the hundreds, most likely before sixty. Luke wrote this as he recounts the life of Jesus.
