- happy and calm children learn better
- every child matters 
- they can learn and shine with our guidance 
- we can provide the platform for them to embrace challenges with a growth mindset and live a purpose driven life. 

Some of her actions that I wanted to highlight that has demonstrated her points above are: 

- Displaying every children' work, and not just the best. 

- Letter writing to students during holidays so that they still connect (this is a wonderful idea!) 

- Creating brain break individual packs to adapt to the new situation so that students still have an avenue to mentally rest.  

- Creating and maintaining good partnership with parents to support the child. 

Overall, she provided many new ideas that I would want to bring into my class next year.

This promotes the sense of belonging to a community, e.g. the form class.

Some of the ways to do this include:

• Celebrate special moments, e.g. birthdays.
• Display students' work, e.g. art pieces gallery walk.

To help students cope with this, she has provided her students individual brain break packs that they can enjoy on their own. 

Writing letters are simple things that are already almost fully phased out in the world of technology. Therefore, I believe that the students would be heartened to receive a personalized letter for them, especially when they are sick or away from school for a long period of time such as school holidays.  

She has also created her own hands on activities for her students to make learning more fun for them.

While there are many ways to show care, the bottomline is to show students that they are valued regardless of performance. Working together with parents are also an important part of the process of education.

To be a caring teacher requires much more effort than what is required to get the job done. We have to always seek to reflect and improve ourselves constantly.
