They shouldn't because first off, Pearl Harbor killed 2 - 3 thousand people and the atomic bomb in Hiroshima killed more than 400,000 people. The other thing is that the bombing ruined the chance of a future relationship between Japan an America all together, even though Japan was being difficult, the dropping of an atomic bomb crossed a line.
All and all, the bombing destroyed most of Hiroshima. Also, take into account that the only people hurting America at that time were the leaders, not the actual people living peacefully in their towns. There could have been other solutions than to kill all of these innocent people.

They shouldnt have bombed Japan because first of all it was inhumane and extreme. Yes, President Truman was angry about Pearl Harbor and his intentions were to end the conflict but instead it brought a new world of fear and anger. To add on, Pearl Harbor around 2 thousand people died, in Hiroshima 400 thousand people died. having america launch an atomic bomb ruined the chance of an alliance or a good relationship, plus america could benefit from that. also they shouldnt have dropped the bomb because the japanese suffered slowly because the bomb brought a heat wave to the area, many were left thirsty.

The attack on Pearl Harbor was the choice of the Japanese government. The imprisonment of Japanese American citizens was the choice of the American government. Both of the designated populations these governments rule surely had altering opinions as individuals thinking without a reputation of power to hold. With that said, if you were to look at the roots for the reasons these bombs were dropped, both the people and government had made mistakes. The attack on Pearl Harbor is not at all justified especially as its motive was not directly related to the relationship between Japan and America. The imprisonment and stigmatization of Japanese Americans in the US is not a fully thought through solution by any means. Both of these nations have made huge mistakes. While a solution other than war and mass destruction is not as easy as ¨talking it out,¨ there could have been numerous other routes to a peaceful resolution between nations.
