On the first day I work at Mudim Sdn Bhd, I am quite shocked because in Muudim’s factory (that we can see from outside was a small factory) but it has a special room to training new worker. There was a few people who also ask for a work at Mudim’s Factory. On my first day , I was trained by HR of Mudim’s company , Kak Suraya Bin Haji Othman about a few rule , procedure ,  and a few department that exist in Mudim’s factory. There was four main department in Mudim’s Factory which is bottling , labelled , sealed , and bar code check. There was also packaging department but usually this company will trained the employee that already expert in the main four department and then they will sent you to the packing department unless there was not enough worker in packing department especially during shipment day ( the day that all the sauce and ketchup need to be sent to all broker and buyer).

On the second day , the training was start at 9:00 am because it was a very busy day for all worker because there was a sudden meeting with the upper level about the inspection of the month. The hR of Mudim’s company told us the training that every month there will be an inspection from JAKIM and involved parties to make sure that there was no unwanted ingredients in Mudim’s product. There was also an inspection on cleanliness of Mudim’s factory surrounding in every department. On 9:00 am , the trainer teach us on what we have to do  after we finished our work in any production. For example, if we are in bottling’s production, we need to wipe all the materials that we used in bottling’s the sauce and ketchup. Then , we need to make sure that there is no rubbish o the table and on the floor. In every 30 minutes , we need to do “3s”. 

            It is the last day for our training , so the trainer brought us to see every department  or every line production in Mudim’s Factory. We can see that all worker are very committed in doing their work . In every department , we need to wear the safety equipment. For example , in the bottling’s production , we need to wear glove, apron , scarf , and safety booth so  that when we brought the bottle and so on , we will be secured when we wearing safety equipment. Then , for the sealed department, we also need to wear the same equipment same as bottling’s department. Its only in labelled and sealed we need to wear glove , mask and apron. There is no need the safety boot and so on because labelling and sealing only using a simple step with low number of worker.

            All the trainee have been sent to different department and will get one buddy ( the one who will teach us until we get the certification batch). I  have been sent to the sealing production. At first I know nothing about the way in sealing the bottle and so on but I have a very nice buddy who teach me all the things that I need to do.  When I got my first task which is I need to take the trollies that have been put the sauce and ketchup in it from the previous production. Then , I need to take that trolly into the sealed production to be sealed. Then I have been teach how to sealed  the bottle that have been put the sauce and ketchup inside it.

            It was day five when I worked in Mudim’s Company . I have learned many new things. Actually , when we want to sealed the bottle of sauce and ketchup, we need to be very careful so that the sauce and ketchup will not be dirty or out of its place. I was a bit careless at first because I do not know the way to make sure the cover of the bottle have been sealed carefully or not. Then , when I have finish sealed the bottle of sauces and ketchup , I need to record it in computer data to make sure that everyday I had got the target output. If one day I got a lower output than the target , I need to report on the reason why I do not achieved the target on that day.

            Today , I just do the same thing as I do in these past two days. The  only new thing that  I have learned is , I need to do extra work when there is not enough employee in my line or my production. I need to do multitask which is I need to take the finish product from previous department but at the same time I need to sent the finish sealed bottle to next production. It is quite though because I need to run here and there but still in order to becomes a committed employees like others , I’m willing to do it. 

            Today I have been sent to Packing Department. I have learned new things which is I need to packing all the bottle  of sauce and ketchup into a box regarding the size. There are too many size of boxes that we need to separate before we put the bottle into it. Then , I also need to recheck on the labelled and barcode before I put all the bottled of sauce and ketchup into the boxes. Then , another step in packing is I need to tape all the boxes by using manual. Then after packing all the boxes , I need to arrange it by the labelled of the boxes to which shipment that we need to sent it either to customer , broker or buyer.

            It was a shipment day which I need to be very fast in doing my work. There was a lost product in the shipment so that we need to recheck on the report to make sure that we are not mistake in key in the data and so on. Usually the lost happen when there is any employee forgot to key in the data or the output that have been produced. Then , usually in the shipment day , the upper level will comes and recheck on our production one by one because they need to verify our qualification.

            It was a new day because I have learned new thing in labelled department. It kind of simple process in Mudim’s factory because we just need to put the labelled on the bottle surface. But , actually it is quite challenging because the surface of the bottle is not flat as the other bottle that we can see such as Kicap Jalen and Kicap Saji. Kicap Mudim is kind of unique product because the different of the bottle designed and the taste is very delicious. 

This is my last day in Mudim’s company so I have use this opportunity to gather all the information about Kilang Mudim as I can. Actually , I need to do my SIEP  in tourism or service industry. But I already ask to work at the hotel and any travel agency but they are refuse to take any person  to work with them at short time . It’s only Kilang Mudim that want to take people to work with them. Kilang Mudim have already open their new branch in Kedah , Perlis and Pulau Pinang.
